HaysMed Named Best Place to Work in Healthcare for 5th Year

HaysMed Named One of the 2012 Best Places to Work in Healthcare
by Modern Healthcare Magazine for the
Fifth Year In A Row

HAYS, Kansas (July 30, 2012)— For the fifth straight year, Modern Healthcare magazine has named HaysMed as one of the country's Best Places to Work in Healthcare in the nation.  The list was compiled from an evaluation of healthcare companies in partnership with Best Companies Group, a Pennsylvania-based firm that administers "best places to work" programs nationwide.
"This award validates our commitment to excellence," said President and CEO, John Jeter, MD, he added, "We do important work for important people – that's our motto. It says it all. Nothing is more important than our Associates. We can't provide the best health care without the best staff and we can't have the best staff without the best workplace environment."

HaysMed was selected based upon results of a random employee survey and an in-depth questionnaire detailing hospital policies, practices, benefits and demographics. "The employee survey focused upon 8 core areas: leadership and planning, culture and communications, role satisfaction, working environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits and overall satisfaction. "We are thrilled to be on the list of Best Places to Work in Healthcare for the fifth year in a row.  This says a lot about our Associates and the culture we have at Hays Med," said Nikki Adams, Director of Associate Development.

Modern Healthcare will reveal the specific ranking of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare, from 1 to 100, on October 9 at a special awards banquet in Nashville, Tennessee.  The results will be published in a special supplement to Modern Healthcare magazine on October 15, 2012.

HaysMed was one of three healthcare organizations in Kansas who received the designation this year; however HaysMed is the only facility from Kansas who has received the award for five years running.
