CHI 10K
HAYS, Kansas (July 12, 2011)— A 10K walk/run will be held on Saturday, August 20 at the Center for Health Improvement at Hays Medical Center. The run begins at 8:00 am with registration starting at 7:30 am. The 6.2 mile walk/run will wind through areas near the hospital campus.
"There are a lot of 5k walk/runs in the area and we wanted to offer another something different for runners in the area." Said Stephanie Schaffer, Director of the Center for Health Improvement at HaysMed. "A lot of our runners have asked for a longer race so we decided it was the perfect time to host a 10k."
The deadline for registering for the event is August 12. The fee is $20 for participants 14 years and older and a free will donation is encouraged for those ages 13 and under. Participants received a t-shirt.
