STRIDE Half Marathon
HAYS, Kansas (July 26, 2011)— The Center for Health Improvement is sponsoring - The STRIDE Half Marathon on Sunday, September 11. Participants can choose from either running or walking the 13.1 half marathon course. The course takes you through various locations in the city of Hays.
"This is our fifth year for this event and each year it continues to grow." said Stephanie Schaffer, Director of The Center for Health Improvement. "The participants are motivated by this event and we look forward to providing the training. We are excited to offer a half marathon for the runners and walkers in the area."
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 females and males in the following age ranges: 16 – 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and older. All participants will be awarded a certificate. Overall first place female and male will receive an additional prize.
Registration for the half marathon is $45 before September 1 and $55 after September 1. Registration forms are available at The Center for Health Improvement or go to www.haysmed.com/stride. For more information call 785-623-5900.
