William J. (Bill) Overbey, CPA

Chief Information Officer
William J. (Bill) Overbey, CPA is Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Information Officer of the Corporation. Mr. Overbey also serves as an ex officio member of the Finance Committee. He assumed his current position in April 2001. Previously, Mr. Overbey has held the following positions: Chief Financial Officer at Geary Community Hospital in Junction City, Kansas (1991-2001); Director of Budget & Reimbursement at Via Christi Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas (1987-1991); Audit Supervisor for Grant Thornton, Topeka, Kansas (1986); Director of Finance for the Kansas Hospital Association in Topeka, Kansas (1984-1985); and Senior Auditor for Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Topeka, Kansas (1981-1984). Mr. Overbey received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas in 1979, and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1986. Mr. Overbey is an advanced member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), and recently earned his advanced certification in the Association by being awarded Fellowship in the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA). Mr. Overbey has previously served as a Board Member and Officer of the Sunflower Chapter of HFMA.
