Visiting hours at HaysMed are from 8:00 am - 8:30 pm. For new mothers we encourage our patients to take advantage of "The Golden Hour" and restrict visitation until after the first hour of the baby's life.
To provide a compassionate and family centered environment in which we deliver quality, professional health care and education to our patients and their families.
The Woman/Infant Care Center includes labor and delivery, well baby nursery and special care nursery, level 2 NICU, postpartum and surgical care of women patients who have had hysterectomies or mastectomies. We also care for some women patients who have had cosmetic surgeries.
We are in the process of renovating our unit at this time. Upon completion we will have a new NICU and nursery area, two c/s rooms, a c/s recovery room, five labor rooms and twelve postpartum rooms. Our triage capabilities will also be increased.
We offer a Tranquility Room, a place where new mothers of NICU babies can rest between feedings or can be used for breast pumping if needed for hospital associates. Patients and families can also visit the Nursing Mother Resource Center, a store to help with breastfeeding and breast pumping needs. We look forward to opening a Breast feeding Clinic in the near future to help support patients who face challenges to breastfeeding their babies once they are at home.
