Noncancerous or benign breast conditions are noncancerous but can cause discomfort and require treatment. Unfortunately, many breast conditions mimic the symptoms of cancer and require tests and sometimes even biopsy to diagnose. Though the prospect of cancer is certainly scary, most biopsies find a benign breast condition instead of cancer. At the Breast Care Center, we can help you work through any abnormality you may encounter with your breasts. Common benign (noncancerous) conditions include:

Hyperplasia

Cysts

Fibroadenoma

Sclerosing adenosis

Intraductal papilloma

Benign phyllodes tumor
