2014 Stats
Medical Oncology
During 2014, there were a total of 10426 patient visits (40% males and 60% females); this number includes those patients seen by the providers in clinic visits. There were 49 patients seen for colon cancer (53% males, 47% females); 113 patients seen for lung cancer (53% males, 47% females); 475 patients for breast cancer (0.2% males, 99.8% females); 42 patients for prostate cancer (100% males); 95 patients for lymphoma (52% males, 48% females); and 1638 patients for other diagnoses (42% males, 58% females).
Radiation Oncology
In 2014, 231 patients were treated; 200 were new patients and 31 had previously been treated. There were an additional 45 patients seen for consultation only. 250 total courses of radiation therapy were delivered. There were 104 (45%) males and 127 (55%) females who received treatments. 69 women (30% of patients for the year) were treated for breast cancer, 22 (10%) men were treated for prostate cancer, 37 (16%) patients were treated for lung cancer, 21 (9%) patients were treated for skin cancer, and 13 (6%) patients were treated for colo/rectal cancer. 397 (phone 332, onsite 65) follow-up visits occurred.
Inpatient Oncology
The Inpatient Oncology Unit had 278 admissions during 2014 which resulted in 1753 patient days. The average length of stay was 6.3 days. Of the 278 admissions, 50.2% were males and 49.8% were females. Patient admissions included but were not limited to treatment for disease management, pain control, radiation implant management, and chemotherapy administration. Patients with Lung cancer (15%) was the largest single diagnosis group. Other significant diagnoses included Liver, stomach, esophagus, kidney and pancreatic cancers made up (9%). Leukemia and Colon each were at (8%) and Lymphoma was at (7%). Six percent of the patients were treated for breast and bone cancer. Brain Cancer made up (3%) . Ovarian, skin and oral cancers made up (1%) each of the patients and the remaining 34% of admissions were for other, non-specific diagnoses including blood, benign, and unrelated diagnoses

Inpatient Oncology
The Inpatient Oncology Unit had 329 admissions during 2013 which resulted in 1,555 patient days. The average length of stay was 4.7 days. Of the 329 admissions, 44 % were males and 56 % were females. Patient admissions included but were not limited to treatment for disease management, pain control, radiation implant management, and chemotherapy administration. Patients with leukemia (9%) and lung and respiratory cancer (9%) were the largest single diagnosis groups. Other significant diagnoses included lymphoma (7%), breast (6%), colon and rectal (6%), skin and soft tissue (4%), and thyroid (4%). Liver, stomach, esophagus, kidney and pancreatic cancers made up 7%. Six percent of the patients were treated for prostate, ovarian, urinary, and other reproductive and genital diseases. Bone cancer and brain cancer each made up 1% of the patients and the remaining 40% of admissions were for other, non-specific diagnoses including blood, benign, and unrelated diagnoses.
Medical Oncology
During 2013, there were a total of 10910 patient visits (39% males and 61% females); this number includes those patients seen by the providers in clinic visits. There were 46 patients seen for colon cancer (61% males, 39% females); 111 patients seen for lung cancer (45% males, 55% females); 429 patients for breast cancer (0% males, 100% females); 34 patients for prostate cancer (100% males); 95 patients for lymphoma (57% males, 43% females); and 1551 patients for other diagnoses (43% males, 57% females).
Radiation Oncology
In 2013, 188 patients were treated; 153 were new patients and 35 had previously been treated. There were an additional 43 patients seen for consultation only. 201 total courses of radiation therapy were delivered. There were 89 (47%) males and 99 (53%) females who received treatments. 62 women (33% of patients for the year) were treated for breast cancer, 24 (13%) men were treated for prostate cancer, 25 (13%) patients were treated for lung cancer, 16 (9%) patients were treated for skin cancer, and 10 (5%) patients were treated for colo/rectal cancer. 322 (phone 277, onsite 45) follow-up visits occurred.

Patient admissions included but were not limited to treatment for disease management, pain control, radiation implant management, and chemotherapy administration. Patients with breast (8%) were the largest single diagnosis group. Other significant diagnoses included lung and respiratory cancer (6%), leukemia (2%), bone (5%), lymphoma (4%), skin (3%), and brain (4%). Colon, peritoneum, stomach, liver, esophagus, kidney and pancreatic cancers made up 7%. Seven percent of the patients were treated for prostate and other reproductive and genital diseases. Thyroid cancer made up 2% of the patients and the remaining 52% of admissions were for other, non-specific diagnoses including blood, benign, and unrelated diagnoses.
Medical Oncology
During 2012 there were a total of 10,026 patient visits (38% male and 62% female); this number includes those patients seen by the physicians in clinic visits. There were 42 patients seen for colon cancer (57% male, 43% female); 123 patients seen for lung cancer (54% male, 46% female); 423 patients seen for breast cancer (0% male, 100% female); 28 male patients seen for prostate cancer; 93 patients seen for lymphoma (51% male, 49% female); and 1596 patients seen for other diagnoses (42% male, 58% female).
Radiation Oncology
In 2012, 209 patients were treated; 172 were new patients and 37 had previously been treated. There were an additional 30 patients seen for consultation only. 236 total courses of radiation therapy were delivered. There were 103 (49%) males and 106 (51%) females who received treatments. 47 women (22.5% of patients for the year) were treated for breast cancer, 32 (15.3%) men were treated for prostate cancer, 38 (18.2%) patients were treated for lung cancer, 14 (6.7%) patients were treated for skin cancer, and 10 (4.8%) patients were treated for colo-rectal cancer. 276 follow-up visits occurred.

The Inpatient Oncology Unit had 334 admissions during 2011 which resulted in 1,762 patient days. The average length of stay was 5.3 days. Of the 334 admissions, 48% were males and 52% were females. Patient admissions included but were not limited to treatment for disease management, pain control, radiation implant management, and chemotherapy administration. Patients with lung cancer (9%) were the largest single diagnosis group. Other significant diagnoses included breast (4%), leukemia (4%), bone (5%), lymphoma (7%), skin (3%), and brain (3%). Colon, peritoneum, stomach, liver, esophagus, kidney and pancreatic cancers made up 18%. Six percent of the patients were treated for prostate and other reproductive and genital diseases. Thyroid cancer made up 2% of the patients and the remaining 39% of admissions were for other, non-specific diagnoses.

During 2011 there were a total of 10805 patient visits (37% males and 63% females); this number includes those patients seen by the physicians in clinic visits. There were 44 patients seen for colon cancer (48% males, 52% females); 111 patients seen for lung cancer (52% males, 48% females); 427 patients for breast cancer (0% males, 100% females); 21 patients for prostate cancer (100% males); 103 Patients for lymphoma (52% males, 48% females); and 1744 patients for other diagnoses (33% males, 67% females).
Radiation Oncology
In 2011, 205 patients were treated; 173 were new patients and 32 had previously been treated. There were an additional 40 patients seen for consultation only. 225 total courses of radiation therapy were delivered. There were 99 (48%) males and 106 (52%) females who received treatments. 48 women (23.4% of patients for the year) were treated for breast cancer, 33 (16.1%) men were treated for prostate cancer, 34 (16.6%) patients were treated for lung cancer, 22 (10.7%) patients were treated for skin cancer, and 11 (5.4%) patients were treated for colo/rectal cancer. 296 follow-up visits occurred.
