HaysMed Hosts Cardiovascular Symposium 2019
Hays, Kansas)— HaysMed, part of The University of Kansas Health System, will present a Cardiovascular Symposium on Friday, November 1, 2019. The program is jointly provided by HaysMed, part of The University of Kansas Health System and The University of Kansas Medical Center Continuing Education and Professional Development and the Area Health Education Center – West. The program will be held at HaysMed in the Hadley Conference Rooms.
Registration and breakfast for the program begins at 7:30 am. The program runs from 8:15 am – 4:45 pm. Topics covered include: advanced heart failure, atrial fibrillation, cardiac transplants and ventricular assist devices, preoperative and perioperative CV care and clearance in noncardiac surgery, update on the Kansas Heart and Stroke Collaborative, update from The University of Kansas Health System, cardiac pacing devices and remote monitoring, structural heart intervention including TAVR, mitral valve repair; PFO and left atrial closure, antithrombotic treatment for AFib and DVT: NOCAS, DOACS and warfarin; and CABG vs PCI for left main and multivessel CAD;
Speakers for the program include: Andrew Sauer, MD, Y. Mahdu Reddy, MD, FACC, FHRS, Nicholas A. Haglund, MD, Dak Burnett, MD, Robert Moser, MD, Eddie Herrman, CEO, Rigoberto Ramirez, MD, Mark Wiley, MD, and Greg Muehlebach, MD all with The University of Kansas Health System.
The program is designed for Physicians, PAs, APRN’s, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Social Workers, PTs, OTs and other interested Healthcare Professionals.
All participants requesting continuing education credit must complete verification of attendance and evaluation form online. Instructions will be distributed at the time of sign-in.

Application has been submitted to EMS. Approval is pending.The fee for the program is $90 for non HaysMed employees, $45 for CAH employees. There is no registration fee for HaysMed Associates, Pawnee Valley Campus Associates, Great Bend Campus Associates and St. Rose Medical Pavilion Associates. CANCELLATION POLICY
Refund of CE fees: Workshop fees will be refunded if notification of cancellation is made 24-hours prior to the workshop. Cancellation: HMC reserves the right to cancel any workshop that does not meet enrollment quota. All pre-registered attendees; will receive a full refund.
