HaysMed Hosts Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Education Program

Hays, KS (Aug 14, 2017) – HaysMed is hosting the program Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) on September 19 and 20 at.  Both days’ sessions run from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm and will be held in the Hadley Rooms at HaysMed, 2220 Canterbury, Entrance C.  Registration opens at 7:30 am.

This 2 days seminar is specifically designed for acute care, critical care and perioperative nurse.  It is designed to give inpatient staff members the foundational, evidenced-based information and critical thinking skills necessary to meet regulatory requirements and provide excellent care to this challenging patient population.

Topics covered included mobilization, delayed injuries, sepsis and organ failure, rhabdomyolysis, nutrition, pain management, geriatric and bariatric patients, late complications, compartment syndrome, VTE prophylaxis, intraabdominal hypertension, wound and skin care, alcohol withdrawal, post-traumatic stress, fluid management and organ and tissue donation.

Fourteen (14) hours of Continuing education contact hours are provided through the Laurelwood Group, a provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 15483.
