What are your fitness goals for 2016?
I would like to get leaner using a mixture of weights, cardio, and of course, diet. I feel I have the first two pieces already and will continue to work on the third.
What is your weekly workout routine?
I usually workout 5-6 days a week before or after work. My erratic schedule means I am usually not at the gym the same time every day.
What keeps you motivated?
Honestly, seeing old pictures of myself when my diet was totally wrong. I have celiac disease meaning I am gluten intolerant. Before I figured this out about 14 years ago, the food I was eating was actually harming me. I kept losing weight despite adequate intake and weight training. Once I figured out what I could not eat, my weight and training success skyrocketed.
Do you have a success story to share?
I have motivated my wife and kids to become more physically active. My son now is a member at CHI and my wife exercises almost 7 days a week. They always come to me with questions on training, stretching, cardio, etc. I am always happy to help even though I am still learning a lot myself.
