CPCU
*I have been an inpatient at Hays Medical Center twice. The patient care at the DeBakey Heart
Center has been outstanding. Please keep up the fine work!
*The staff was very professional and helpful. I felt that the nurses were very good.
*I would share thanks to the skill, knowledge, dedication and rapid response to my heart attack. I
am alive today. Everyone involved in my care from start to finish provided me with excellent care;
Doctors, nurses, PCTs, technicians and any personal care needs. I believe due to the incredible
care and timing I am able to write this today. Thank you all!
*Very pleased with my care. All caregivers (associates) were very friendly and polite and prompt. I
felt well cared for and comfortable.
*I was very pleased with the excellent care given by all the nurses and PCTs that helped me while I
was here and also very impressed with Dr. Hemphill. She is an excellent doctor.
I’ve had quality care, great attitudes from all at HaysMed. Caregivers—I really don’t care pointing
out anyone in particular but “Trish” is one person who excels in all she has done for me in the past.
My last procedures and I’m sure procedures in the future. Her competence and compassion and
great demeanor always makes me feel comfortable even in the most unpleasant situations. She’s a
great person to have at your facility.
*Everyone was very nice, excellent care. In particular ICU—Tine and Mary Jo, Cardiac Progressive
Care Unit—Patty. Respiratory Care—those that did my O2 spot checks. X-ray, CT, ER—I am sure I
am missing someone but all were great.
*The care I received on 2nd floor heart care was exceptional. It is difficult to single out any
particular provider as they all showed such care and concern for my comfort and well being. My
deepest thanks go to all your staff—their training is very evident.

Imaging—CT
*Exceptional care, very kind, very, very satisfied. Mark in CT I want to recognize.

Ambulatory Care
*Staff was awesome—from the admission lady, Marissa to Jodi in Surgery Waiting. Dr. Green, Zach
in Anesthesia and of course Dr. Hornick. Thank you for all you all do all day to make your patients
feel safe and informed about what they are having to deal with. You are all appreciated.
*Kaitlin was great and very informative.
*HaysMed staff was amazing, very professional, helpful and patient. I felt they were really
interested in answering all my questions.

Acute Care
*Great Dr. Lopez. Great nurses Amber, Makenzie, Mallory
*Everyone was very nice and professional. Amanda RN was excellent and compassionate.
*All the nurses and PCTs who helped care for me were wonderful. I can’t remember their names.
Each one did what they could to make me comfortable and always asked if there was anything else
they could do for me. Dr. Schultz and the anesthesiologist were great, too. I know that your nurses
and PCTs are all very knowledgeable and could always answer any questions. Thank you for taking
good care of me!
*54 year old and my first and only hospital stay. And from the emergency room to room 215, every
member of HaysMed staff was so professional and kind. I can’t imagine a finer hospital anywhere.
Thank you all. Five stars for all my caregivers.
* ”Thank You” I feel I had the best care that could be given. Everybody was patient and friendly.
They took time to explain what they were going to do before and after surgery. I think somebody
checked on me every few minutes. I feel if that the HaysMed hospital and medical staff, doctors,
nurses and everybody here, are the best. Why go some other place?
I want to send out a special thank you to a wonderful and I mean a wonderful nurse—Susan on the
2nd floor. She was so caring and funny which made me feel so comfortable while I was here. She
sure needs to be recognized for her efforts in making her patients be number one. Then there was
a second lady that stepped up right behind her and that was Molly. Again these ladies went above
and beyond the call of duty to do there job to do the best to make me feel more than a patient. But
a person who means something to them. I want to thank them – both of them with all my heart and
soul.

Pain Clinic
*Katerina, RN and Connie, RN and Dr. Green are wonderful. Great during entire procedure from
start to finish. I would definitely refer everyone needing pain management to Dr. Green.

Wound Healing and Hyperbaric
*Rick, Jeff, Krista, Leslie, Sayre….your staff at the wound care center are exceptional. They are
friendly, courteous and always have a smile to share I appreciate their help.
*I have used the Wound Center twice and I have been very satisfied with the staff and doctors. I
would recommend them to anyone.

Bone, Joint and Spine
*I received very good care. Kinsey was very pleasant and caring! A good sense of humor too. It’s
good to know that the people taking care of you know what they are doing and are good at their job.
*I was very impressed with my stay here. The nurses and PCTs were very friendly and took care of
my needs. Jordyn was especially helpful and very patient. Kinsey is a very sweet nurse and took
very good care of me. Sonja was also a great nurse.
*I was treated so good. They all did an excellent job. They all should be commended for the good
service they provide.
*Dr. Cheema is a doctor of finest quality and talent. He is my friend. He has performed over 10
surgeries on my feet and legs with sincere care. Amber was my nurse on the last day and I was
never left needing a service. She was very efficient and pleasant. Molly took excellent care of me
and was always spry and caring. The other support people are of great quality to patients and this
hospital.

Cardiac Rehab
*I am very satisfied with the care I got from each Associate. They show that they care about each
patient and respect each and everyone they have contact with. I am proud to have had each one
with the handling of my care.
*I would like to thank the doctors and all of the staff of the Cath room for excellent help I got when I
had my heart attack on Feb. 16. I would also like to thank all of the staff at Cardiac Rehab for their
help getting me back to good health.
*Very pleased with the cardiac care and instruction of Carmen and May. Very Professional!
*Amy is a very knowledgeable nurse giving advise on medical issues. She is caring and shows a lot
of concern when doing the exercises. She cares a lot about each participant. She is understanding
of your needs and how you are feeling each day. Amy is a keeper in all aspects of cardio
rehabilitation.

Breast Care Center
*Everyone is very nice, and does their jobs well. I am very pleased with the employees and doctors
of the Breast Care Center of HaysMed.
*From the time I arrived at the Breast Care Center I have been very pleased. The receptionist was
very discreet with my information at check in. I really like the fact that it is “one stop” so I didn’t have
to run from place to place. Great job! Thank you so much! I will recommend others to use the
Breast Care Center. Really set my mind at ease. All questions answered. Very pleased!
*I have always been very satisfied with the care I have received from Denise, the nurses and the
office staff. Very caring and sincerely concerned for my health and well being. Thank you all. I appreciate
you all keeping the appointments right on time!

PT/OT/Speech (In Patient)

PT/OT/Speech (Out Patient)
I was treated well and was informed of what to expect from treatment. Treaters were professional at
all times. Treatment was helpful. Treaters explained how to do exercises and were concerned on
safety and duration of exercises. Overall I was pleased with my treatment and have seen
improvements in pain reduction as well as mobility. Thank You.
*Enjoyed my time in therapy—found both Cari and Brett very knowledgeable and made me fell at
ease.
*I feel very fortunate to have been able to receive care at this facility. The equipment is excellent,
clean and well maintained and the therapeutic pool is a great benefit for my condition. But the real
strength of the OT/PT department is its exceptional staff—Janna, Kelly and Bob display caring,
concern, expertise and knowledge. I am so grateful to have had their help on a journey to walk pain
free.
*The PTs did a great job in my rehab. They listened to my concerns. They were very encouraging
in my rehab. This is a great facility and look forward to coming back for more exercising.
*My care here in physical therapy has been very helpful and pleasant. I gained much strength from
the therapy last fall and more strength and relief in my back and foot during this 12 session therapy.
Everyone here is very professional and skilled as well as very kind and friendly. I especially want to
mention Kelly and Whitney who were wonderful. Whitney was so helpful in trying to get a home
model traction machine for me. I am so grateful.
