HaysMed is proud to announce its recognition by U.S. News & World Report as a 2025–2026 Best Hospital for “Procedures – Conditions: Heart Failure.” This prestigious designation underscores HaysMed’s commitment to delivering exceptional, evidence-based cardiovascular care to patients across western Kansas and beyond.
The U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings evaluate nearly 5,000 hospitals nationwide to help patients make informed decisions about their care. Hospitals rated “High Performing” in procedures and conditions like heart failure demonstrate better outcomes, including higher survival rates and fewer complications. In addition to national recognition, U.S. News also highlights top-performing hospitals in each state and region.
“The DeBakey Heart Clinic at HaysMed is an incredible service to the Hays community and the entire region,” said Eddie Herrman, President and CEO of HaysMed. “For patients to have access to cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, an expert Cath Lab team, interventional cardiologists, an electrophysiologist, a perfusionist, and the entire staff inside the DeBakey Heart Institute, right here in western Kansas, is truly remarkable. This recognition reflects the dedication and expertise of our team and their commitment to delivering world-class care close to home.”
“Heart failure isn’t just one condition, it’s a complex syndrome that demands expert, multidisciplinary care,” said Dr. Mohammed Janif, Interventional Cardiologist at the HaysMed DeBakey Heart Institute. “This recognition from U.S. News & World Report reflects the strength of our entire team from cardiologists and surgeons to nurses and support staff working together to improve outcomes and quality of life for patients across the region.”
