Screening for Cancer

Early detection saves lives. Timely cancer screenings can help identify warning signs before symptoms start, giving you more time and more options for cancer treatment and better outcomes.

Breast Cancer Screening

At the HaysMed Breast Care Center, every patient receives a clinical breast exam by a breast specialist and a personalized plan based on individual risk. Our on-site radiologists use advanced imaging to identify concerns sooner—and with greater accuracy. Our breast cancer screening options include:

  • 3D Mammography (Breast Tomosynthesis)
  • Breast Ultrasound
  • Breast MRI
  • Stereotactic and Ultrasound-guided Breast Biopsy

While annual mammograms are typically recommended starting at age 40, some women at higher-risk should start sooner. To determine your individual level of risk for breast cancer, we also provide genetic testing and high-risk assessments and consultations. Call 855-HAYSMED to schedule.

Colon Cancer Screenings

Colon cancer (also known as colorectal cancer) is one of the most preventable cancers—when caught early. A colonoscopy can detect and remove precancerous polyps before they become a threat. If you are age 45 or older, or younger with a family history of colon cancer, call 855-HAYSMED to schedule your colonoscopy today.

Prostate Cancer Screenings

For men over 50 or with risk factors, early screening for prostate cancer is critical. HaysMed provides a range of screening options to support early detection and peace of mind, including:

  • PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) blood test
  • Digital rectal exam
  • MRI/Ultrasound fusion biopsy (if needed)

Call 855-HAYSMED to schedule an exam with your primary care provider.

Lung Cancer Screenings

If you’re a current or former smoker, you may qualify for a Low-Dose CT (LDCT) lung cancer screening. This painless scan can detect lung cancer before symptoms appear—when treatment is most effective. Call 855-HAYSMED to schedule.

Skin Cancer

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer, and it is also one of the most preventable and treatable when detected early. Skin cancer assessments are quick, painless and can typically be performed during a routine primary care visit. Call 855-HAYSMED to schedule.

Cervical Cancer Screenings

Regular cervical cancer screenings can detect changes before they become cancer and help save lives. These simple tests can find precancerous cells early when treatment is most effective. Screenings are quick and can be completed during your annual wellness exam with your family provider or OBGYN. Call 855-HAYSMED to schedule with your provider today.

Screenings for Your Heart Health

With early detection, cardiovascular conditions can be managed effectively. HaysMed offers non-invasive, painless cardiac screenings including:

  • Atrial fibrillation
  • Testing for peripheral arterial disease
  • Stroke scans
  • Aortic aneurysm scans

Call 855-HAYSMED to schedule. For cardiovascular screening, a physician’s order is required.

Additional Health Screenings

We also offer screenings and tests that help you monitor your general health and catch chronic conditions early. Ask your provider about:

  • Blood pressure and cholesterol checks
  • Bone density screening for osteoporosis
  • Diabetes and blood sugar testing
  • Hepatitis C blood test
  • Routine physical exams
