HaysMed Honors Sheylynn Eickhoff with DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Care
HaysMed is proud to recognize Sheylynn Eickhoff, RN, of the HaysMed Birth Center, as the latest recipient of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. This prestigious award celebrates nurses who go above and beyond in delivering compassionate, skillful, and patient-centered care.
Sheylynn was nominated by a grateful patient who shared the following:
“Although each and every nurse who took care of my daughter and I were amazing, I want to shout out Sheylynn in particular. I truly do not think I would have had the positive birth experience I did without her. Not only was she empathetic and attentive, but she empowered me to have the birth experience I desired. I have encountered so many wonderful nurses on this unit, but her encouragement and kindness will forever stand out to me. My husband and I are so grateful for her care.”
“The DAISY Award is a meaningful way to recognize nurses who truly make a difference,” said Joben Rieth, Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer “Sheylynn exemplifies what it means to provide patient-centered care. She helps patients feel heard, supported, and confident throughout their care.”
Dr. Timothy Hoskins, OB/GYN at HaysMed, also praised Sheylynn’s impact, sharing, “Sheylynn is an exceptional nurse who creates a calm, supportive environment for families during one of life’s most important moments. Her ability to connect with patients and advocate for their needs makes her an invaluable part of our Birth Center team.”
The DAISY Award is an international program that recognizes the extraordinary clinical skills and compassionate care provided by nurses every day.
