Janine Kisner BSN, RN recently was awarded the DAISY Nurse Leader Award at HaysMed.  She was selected from a group of blinded nominations voted on by the HaysMed administrative team.  Nominations for DAISY Awards are received from patients and family members, physicians, volunteers, and associates for nurses in inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings.

“The DAISY Nurse Leader Award was created to shine a light on those nurses who do not typically have direct patient care as part of their work as well as those who create an environment where compassion, mutual trust and respect, and skillful care thrives” said Sandy Gottschalk, Director of Professional Development at HaysMed. “Janine supervises several units and works with the Float and Flex nurses at HaysMed. Her caring and compassionate nature resonates in the areas she supervises. Janine is very accessible, available, and responsive to the needs of her units.”
