HaysMed Hospice Invites Community to Honor Loved Ones with Memory Tree Ornaments
HaysMed Hospice and Palliative Care is once again offering the opportunity to honor and remember loved ones during the holiday season through its annual Hospice Community Memory Tree initiative.
For a suggested donation of $20, individuals may purchase a brass dove ornament engraved with the name of someone special, whether in memory of a loved one who has passed or in honor of someone still living. The tree displaying the ornaments is located at the Entrance C Lobby.
“This tradition is a meaningful way for families to celebrate the lives of those they love,” said Sarah Dreiling, Clinical Care Coordination Director at HaysMed. “Each dove represents a story, a memory, and a connection that continues. The Community Memory Tree is a gentle reminder that even in times of loss, love endures.”
Donations support vital hospice services, including education, volunteer and bereavement programs, and patient-related expenses not covered by insurance. Checks should be made payable to Hospice at HaysMed and mailed to HaysMed Foundation, 2220 Canterbury Drive, Hays, KS 67601, along with the name of the person being honored or remembered. For anyone who wants to make a gift online, the direct link is: https://haysmedfoundation.org/dove, all funds go into the Hospice fund at the Foundation regardless of whether they are received online or in the mail.
