HaysMed Physician Recognized for Leadership on KSHSAA Sports Medicine Advisory Committee
HaysMed proudly recognizes Dr. Wally Walstrom, DO, MS, CAQSM, for his outstanding service on the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) Sports Medicine Advisory Committee (SMAC). Dr. Walstrom has served on the committee for four years, including two years as chairperson, helping guide important conversations and recommendations focused on student‑athlete health and safety across Kansas.
In addition to Dr. Walstrom, we extend our sincere appreciation to the other outgoing committee members for their commitment and expertise:

Since its formation in 2014, the KSHSAA Sports Medicine Advisory Committee has played a vital role in advising on sports medicine policies, guidelines, and educational resources for more than 750 member schools statewide.
