For Dr. Wait, joining HaysMed is a return home. A native of El Dorado, Kansas, Dr. Wait completed medical school in Kansas City, followed by an orthopedic residency in Pennsylvania and a sports medicine fellowship in Florida. With over a decade of experience in the Kansas City area, working with athletes of all levels, Dr. Wait now returns to serve communities throughout western Kansas.
“I’ve always valued practicing in communities where you can really get to know your patients,” Dr. Wait shared. “Taking care of entire families and seeing them out in the community. Building those relationships, that’s something I really enjoy.”

Dr. Wait specializes in sports medicine and arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, hip, and knee, offering minimally invasive options designed to help patients recover faster and return to activity sooner.
