HaysMed Welcomes Dr. Derek Peckham to the Emergency Department
HaysMed is pleased to welcome Derek Peckham, DO, a board-certified physician, to its Emergency Department team.
Dr. Peckham brings a strong educational and professional background to his role. He completed his residency at Lincoln Family Medicine Center and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University. He also holds an undergraduate degree from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas.
Dr. Peckham’s connection to HaysMed began early in his career, having worked as a phlebotomist from 2016 to 2018. His return to HaysMed as an emergency physician reflects his continued commitment to serving the Hays community with excellence in patient care.
He joins a highly skilled team in HaysMed’s 13-bed Emergency Department, which is fully staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by experienced physicians, nurses, and emergency care professionals dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care.
Dr. Peckham’s addition strengthens an already exceptional team, and HaysMed is proud to have him back as part of its mission to deliver expert emergency care to the community and region.
