Hospice Volunteer Training Scheduled for May
Have you thought about becoming a Hospice Volunteer or know someone who might be interested?
HaysMed Hospice and Palliative Care invites you to attend our upcoming volunteer training session. This training provides an introduction to the philosophy of hospice care and the important role volunteers play in supporting patients, families, and our care team. Attendance at the training does not require a commitment to volunteer and is a great opportunity to learn more about this meaningful service.
Hospice volunteers assist in a variety of ways, including spending time with patients, completing small office tasks, making follow‑up phone calls, and helping with special events throughout the year. Volunteers do not provide hands‑on patient care, and there is no minimum time requirement to serve as a hospice volunteer. HaysMed Hospice serves Ellis, Rush, Russell, and Rooks Counties.
Training Session Details:
Date: Wednesday, May 27, 2026
Time: 8:00 a.m. to approximately 4:00 p.m.
Location: HaysMed – St. Agnes Room 2
We look forward to sharing how hospice volunteering can make a lasting difference. For more information about the HaysMed Hospice program, please visit our website.
