Improving Patient Experience: QLess Kiosks Coming to HaysMed Registration
Beginning in March 2026, HaysMed will introduce QLess Kiosks, a virtual check‑in and queuing system designed to improve patient flow and create a more comfortable, efficient experience for those visiting Patient Registration at Miller Pavilion, Entrance B.
Patients arriving for inpatient care, outpatient hospital services, imaging appointments, or with billing questions will now be able to check in using a simple kiosk. Once checked in, QLess will send text message updates to the patient’s mobile phone, letting them know when it’s time to begin registration.
Patients visiting clinics or the DeBakey Heart Institute will continue checking in directly with their clinic teams and will not use the QLess system.
How QLess Enhances the Patient Experience
- Less crowding, more comfort: Patients can relax in the lobby instead of standing in line.
- Text notifications: Real‑time updates keep patients informed about their place in line.
- Faster, smoother check‑in: QLess helps streamline the intake process, improving flow and reducing delays.
A key benefit of this system is improved safety and comfort in the waiting area, allowing patients to spread out and wait where they feel most at ease.
